Fellsmere Trailhead Preserve & Welcome Center

The Fellsmere Trailhead Preserve and Welcome Center opened on November 3, 2016 and is located northwest of the I-95 and CR-512 interchange. It is situated on approximately 86 acres this site was acquired in 2008 in partnership with the Florida Communities Trust and Indian River County. The Trailhead Preserve provides a nature break for travelers and a trailhead for recreation. The Welcome Center is a designated Visitor Center for the National Scenic Byway Program for the Indian River Lagoon National Scenic Byway and provides information about the history of Fellsmere as well as interesting things to see and do in the area. The Trans Florida Central Rail Trail can be accessed from this park. The Florida Tech Challenge Course is also located within the Trailhead Preserve offering leadership training and teambuilding events on a variety of venues which include High Ropes, Leadership Reaction, Marine Obstacle, and Air Assault Courses. The park is open from sunrise to sunset.
